Nesting Patterns

I have long thought that humans should take after animals in the fall and winter; nest away and hibernate until warmer weather comes back. I realize this might not be the most socially-sound lifestyle, but every time the seasons change and the cold weather comes, i want to hide away and nest. Piles of blankets, books and pillows abound, mugs of tea and cocoa are always around, and candles are burning. All I want to do right now is nest. Above is a little nesting collage i put together with some of my favourite nesting objects, designs and colours. Now... back under the covers i go ;)

SNAPSHOT

happy friday! The semi-consistant tradition of 'snapshot' is where i peruse my photos from the week's past and pick one photo to focus on. I took this picture of a magnet i bought myself the other day. I bought it because A: i need constant reminders that things will fall into place in their own time and B: it was a dollar - i mean, i'm a sucker for a good deal. The funny/interesting part of this is that i haven't even put said magnet on a fridge or magnetic board yet... i suppose that will come "all in good time" as well ;) 

i hope you have a splendid weekend. I'll be spending some time with fam, going to a film festival and doing our usual sunday ritual of biking.

A lil' Project

I love the antiqued brass look. When i received the glasses (right) in the mail I noticed they had dots where you could potentially put gems, but instead, I decided to paint each dot to add a fun range of colours to the brass. Well, as it usually happens, once I get the paint out, I just start painting things. So, the antlers got done, along with a few other pieces. I love the blend of rustic with colour! I just added them to the online shop today! 

I hope you had a good weekend. It's been really rainy for over a week and i can tell it impact's people's moods. I spent a lot of time away from my computer this weekend and instead did lots of drawing, art, tea-drinking, bath-taking and biking in the rain with Ry.

LIFE LATELY

It's been awhile friends. Life has been happening, as it tends to do... in these times of transition and in-decision, I'm focusing on those little pleasures, bursts of colour and gratitude. I hope i find you well...
