I'm continuing on with capturing each room of our homestead and I've moved onto the porch. I really love having a vestibule, if you will, in which we can come into and transition our way into the house. I finally got around to painting it this spring and I love the crisp white look of the floors and walls. The walls were a light yellow and the floor was carpeted when we moved in, so this is a nice change. So... here we go:
I love to fill spaces with meaningful objects - this area contains a print my dad made for me in which he combined my early horse and sun prints overtop a barn print he did (i love it so much), a book and owl Ry gave me, a vintage deer print, my favourite green box and a glass jar of stones and bits from hikes.
The dresser seen above was a roadside find that was also a light yellow. I did it's first makeover HERE and decided it wasn't me at all, so I painted the whole thing white and put chalkboard paint on the drawers so I actually remember what's in there.
There ya have it - another room captured.
