Hi there! I'm tee. Welcome to my blog... I'm so very happy to have ya.
Here's a few things you may want to know...
What I blog About:
Last Spring I took over my mom's shop and worked with her for a year-long apprenticeship. This past April I closed that shop and opened my own Vintage Shop called Laloba Vintage. You can visit the website here. On here I like to talk about what it means to have a small business and work for yourself. You can join me by clicking on the Small Business Talk Tab. If you have topics you want to talk about, let me know... us independent business people need each other :)
I like to blog about daily life around the homestead!
These are just some of the life stuff I like to talk about!
Developing style is one of my favourite hobbies and I love assisting other people in finding a look that refelcts their true self. For me style is all about experimentation... and so, you'll see my various looks on here as I have fun doing something we tend to do every day... get dressed! It's my belief that getting dressed should be fun!!! I think there is a common belief that style or fashion is for those of a certain type or financial bracket. I think that's hooey!!
Style is just how you dress in a way that you comfortable with and that reflects your brilliant, beautiful self!!!! It's proven that when you look good, you feel good and when you feel good, you look good. It's all connected! I love looking at these inner and outer connections.
My favourite thing to do in my shop is to currate collections and looks for people. I L-O-V-E doing this!!! I love to see women feel good about the way they look; so often we are so damn hard on ourselves!
I challenge you to have fun with getting dressed and for goodness sake, love your body (yes, lumps and all)!
Repeat after me:
I ________ promise to love and accept myself, even _____ and _______. Lumps and lines are simply proof of a good time. Plus, in a real pinch there's always Photoshop :)
I put this section in here to challenge myself to make things again. SImply for the sake of making things. I also love to explore the works of others and I'm obsessed with looking at people's studios (there's something about seeing the environment in which beautiful things are made).
I love easy to make projects. So, I will show ya how I do them and then you can go ahead and get your DIY on! Check out some of the projects I have done:
I love the thrill of the hunt, so I have a few things that are always on my radar. Some things I look for because of their rarity, and other simply because they're cute and I like them.
