So i know i come to you as someone who happens to be in a relationship, but i haven't always been and yet have always loved Valentine's day. I think this is because i really don't see it as a couples day. at all really. I mean, sure it's an excuse to go out for a date or receive a piece of jewellery (hint, hint:), but moreso i think i've always liked it because of the notion of giving cards and candy, two of my favourite things. Remember the grade-school days when you had to request a class list so that you could sit and write out a valentine to EVERYONE? and there would usually be a potluck of sorts with red and pink cupcakes and heart-shaped cookies? Everyone would have a brown paper bag with their name on it and people would go around filling them up with valentines. The best was when someone went beyond and attached those heart-shaped suckers to theirs. so good. i know there was a time when you only wrote them out to your buddies... but that has changed over the years, to include everyone. I think we could all stand to be inclusive with our kindness... and that's why i like valentines!! So, in loo of this favoured tradition, i've done some doodles that you can certainly feel free to print and hand-out to your loved ones, or just people you could use to be a little kinder too (they're not all limited to valentine's either).
ever notice how two question marks make a heart?
this is the scary one... it reminds me of the Pink Monster in Bugs BunnyThis one is fashioned after the artwork i did on our chalkboard headboard this week
